Mrs. Bessie McNally, 79, the mother of Capt. John E. ("Jack") McNally of the fire department, died Tuesday morning in the son's residence, 2515 41st street.
She was born in County Caire, Ireland, October 23, 1865. She came to America at the age of 16 and had been a Sioux City resident for 38 years.
Surviving, in addition to the son, are five grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Friday in St. Michael's Catholic church. Rev. F. H. Greteman will officiate and interment will be in Calvary cemetery.
The rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock Thursday evening in the Perasso Bros. chapel.
