Floyd C. Mohr

Floyd C. Mohr,83, of Sioux City died Monday, Dec. 9, 1996, at his residence following a brief illness.

A Funeral Mass service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic!) Church, with the Rev. Chris J. Van Oosbree officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today, with the family present from 6:30 to 9 p.m., and a parish vigil service at 7 p.m., at the Larkin Morningside Funeral Home.

Mr. Mohr was born March 22, 1913, in Larchwood, Iowa. He married Marguerite E. Dc Maine on, March 27, 1934, in Sioux City. She died on June 2, 1984, in Sioux City.. He was employed both as a special delivery mailman for the U.S. Post Office for 30 years, and as a printer, with the Bolstein Creative Printers Inc., retiring from both positions in 1973. He then was employed as a deliveryman for Prodenco Dental Lab, retiring from them in 1993.

He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the American Association of Retired Persons, and the National Rifle Association.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Cherie and Ted Mercural of Sioux City; two sons, Gary and his wife Bonnie of Minnesota and Terry of Sioux City; a sister, Pearl Hinds of Sioux City; and five grandchildren, Keri and Travis Mercural, Curtis and Chris Mohr, and Corrie Bjerke.

He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry; and a granddaughter, Toni Mohr.

Pallbearers will be Travis Mercural, Adam Wright, Dustin Munroe, Jason Murkins, Chris Haugen, and Will Taylor.
