Gary M. Sullivan

Gary Michael Sullivan, 55, of Bismarck, N.D., formerly of Sioux City, died Friday, Dec. 6, 1996, at his home after a brief illness.

Services were Monday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Bismarck. Arrangements were under the direction of the Boelter Funeral Home of Bismarck.

Mr. Sullivan was born Dec. 31, 1940, in Sioux City, the son of Russell and Sigrid (Rostad) Sullivan. He attended Sioux City public schools and graduated from Central High School in 1959. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in September 1959 and completed training as a warhead prefire specialist. He served his tour of duty in Germany and was discharged Aug. 27, 1962. He then worked in the Sioux City area for 10 years as a sales representative.

Mr. Sullivan married Dianne Lucille Forney Aug. 1, 1965, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Sioux City. They moved to Bismarck in 1972, where Mr. Sullivan was employed by Mid American Research Chemical Corp. The couple established Team Laboratory Chemical Corp. in 1977.

Survivors include his wife; a son and his wife, Michael and Jennifer Sullivan of Sauk Rapids, Minn.; a brother and his wife, John and Tracy Sullivan of San Jose, Calif.; two sisters and their husbands, Barbara and Conrad Coberly of Suwanee, Ga., and Linda and Gary Fischer of Truckee, Calif.; his step-mother, Helen Sullivan, and mother and father-in-law, Arlynn and Byron O'Connor, all of Sioux City; a granddaughter, Madeline Sullivan; and a aunt, uncles, nieces, nephews and many cousins.

Pallbearers were Greg Holverson, Tery Maiser, Dave Haselhorst, Doug Jorgensen, Larry Musser, and Carl Yineman.
