SIOUX CITY - Shirley Ann (Blackburn) Tice, 71, formerly of Sioux City died of cancer Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at Fernview Convalescent Hospital in San Gabriel, Calif.
The memorial service was a small family gathering. Final arrangements were handled by the Neptune Society of California.
Shirley was born April 9, 1938, to Raymond and Leona Blackburn in Sioux City. She married James Tice in Sioux City. She moved to California in the late 1960s. Her most recent career was caring for cancer patients through The Gerson Institute.
She is survived by her five children, Carmen, Dana, Craig, Tracy and Reece; her grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; her sisters, Rosemary Harbeck, Linda Lees and Rhonda Briggs; and her brothers, Ray Blackburn and Jerry Blackburn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Ramona Heltsley.
