SIOUX CITY - Gloria A. Hansen, 73, of Sioux City passed away Monday, May 4, 2009, at her residence following a lengthy and valiant battle with cancer. She passed away surrounded by her family and "chosen" sister and friend, Cookie Chicoine.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with Chaplain Stacey Gerhart officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation, will be 3 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyer broschapels.com.

Gloria was born April 17, 1936, in Sioux City. She married Bryce Hansen on Nov. 23, 1971, in Elk Point, S.D. She was an Avon representative for 26 years. She received many Presidential Club and Honor Society awards as well as many other accolades during her career.

She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce Hansen; her special father, Erwin Gould; ;four children, Deborah Yates and her special friend, Bob Hutchins, of Sioux City, Robert Hahn and his wife, Salama, of Kuwait, Mark Hahn and his wife, Michelle, of Sioux City and Crystal "Kris" Hahn of Sioux City; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Laddie; her mother, Arline Gould; two grandsons; and a granddaughter.

Pallbearers will be Robert Hahn, Mark Hahn, Michael Hahn, Joe Hahn, Tyler Ring and Stacey Yates.

Honorary pallbearers will be Debbie Yates, Crystal Hahn and Bobbie Hahn Ill.
