SOUTH SIOUX CITY (Died Sioux City) -Dusty "Skinny McGinny" Surber, 24, of South Sioux City died Monday, May 4, 2009, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home, with Tom Reed officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael Catholic Church. Visitation with the family will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Dustin Edward Surber was born Jan. 10, 1985, in Sioux City, the son of Edward R. Surber and Sandra J. Clayton. He graduated from South Sioux City High School. He was owner and operator of Skinny's Scrap Iron.

He was baptized a Catholic. His life revolved around his beautiful daughter. He was so proud to be the father of Dusty Dawn. He cherished his "Pumpkin." He was an entrepreneur and worked hard to be successful in his chosen field. He enjoyed pool at Fatty'Z, fishing and his dogs, Honey, Shadow and Snoop.

Survivors include his fiancee, Shasta Hoffman of South Sioux City; his daughter, Dusty Dawn Surber of South Sioux City; his father and step-mother, Edward and Kathleen Surber of Leawood, Kan.; his mother and step-father, Sandra and Charles Clayton of South Sioux City; his grandparents, Mary McGinty and Paul McGinty, both of South Sioux City; a half sister, Stephanie Surber; a step-brother, Chad Clayton; three step-sisters, Staci Skinner, Cari Stinson and Carli Clayton; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Chance Torticill, Ryan and Mark McGinty, Edward and Pat Hulit and Chuck Clayton.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Reed and Ronnie Jensen.
