SIOUX CITY - Toni St. Cyr, 93, of Sioux City passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at her residence.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Paul Johnston officiating. Visitation with the family present will be 6 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Toni was born Aug. 26, 1915, to Andre and Theofelia (Bekish) Archip in Sioux City. She attended public schools in Sioux City and graduated from East High School in 1934. She was a member of the National Honor Society.

Toni married Marvin R. St. Cyr on May 6, 1939, in Sioux City. Marvin passed away Aug. 20, 1974. She worked in the credit department of several Sioux City businesses. Her last place of employment was St. Joseph Hospital and Marian Health Center for 20 years in the business credit office. She retired in 1984.

She was a member of the Russian Resurrection Orthodox Church and the Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a charter member of the Sioux City Policemen's Auxiliary and the Russian Ladies Society. Toni loved her family, friends, neighbors and coworkers, and even her enemies. She enjoyed reading, especially the newspaper, good music, listening to local talk radio programs and participating in lively political discussions. Toni loved God's beautiful world.

Survivors include her daughter, Michele St. Cyr of Sioux City; her son, Mark St. Cyr and his wife, Janiece of Peoria, Ariz.; her sisters-in-law, Frances (Walter) Archip and Betty (Henry) Archip; several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews.

Toni was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Henry Archip and Walter Archip; a sister and brother-in-law, Zena and Glen Pearce; a sister and brother-in-law, Vera and Richard Monroe; and last, but not least, her beloved Beagle, Reggie.

Pallbearers will be Douglas Beauchene, Matt Beauchene, Patrick Beauchene, Chris Jensen, Steve Hass and Rick Pyburn.
