SIOUX CITY - Annette E. Williams, 71, of Sioux City, formerly of Fort Dodge, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Gunderson Funeral Home in Fort Dodge, with the Rev. Tim Geitz officiating. Per her wishes, the body was cremated. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be l to 3 p.m. Friday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City. Visitation will resume 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Gunderson Funeral Home. Annette was born April 3, 1938, in Fort Dodge, to Ben and Ruth (Cook) Allard. She graduated from Fort Dodge High School in 1956. She worked for 31 years at Centralab in Fort Dodge until it closed. In 1992, she enrolled in the nursing program at Iowa Central College and earned her LPN. She practiced nursing until retiring in 1999.

She was married to Junior Williams on April 3, 1967, in Fort Dodge. He preceded her in death on Aug. 10, 1999. In 2000, she moved to Sioux City.

She enjoyed reading, sewing, visiting with her numerous friends, playing cards and traveling. Her greatest love was spending time and being involved with her grandchildren. She was a former member of the Fort Dodge Lioness Club and a member of St Paul Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge.

She is survived by her three daughters, Tammy Scollard and her significant other, Aaron Grimsley of McCook Lake, S.D., Michelle (Wayne) Ely of Fort Dodge and Julie (Craig) Eppert of Madrid, Iowa; nine grandchildren, Tyler, Matt, Kyle, Cody, Meghan, Michael, Conner, Amanda and Lisa; a great-grandchild on the way; and a brother, Duane (Darlene) Allard of Fort Dodge.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a son-in-law, Pat Scollard.

The family would like to thank the staff at Northern Hills Assisted Living and Indian Hills Nursing and Rehab for their kindness and caring touch.
