DAKOTA CITY - (Buried Sioux City) Paul F. Teager, 81, of rural Dakota City died Friday, July 17, 2009, at a South Sioux City care center.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Lutheran Church in South Sioux City, with the Rev. Jerry Gilbreath officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, with the family present at 6 p.m. and a time of sharing at 7 p.m., at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home.

Paul was born Aug. 19, 1927, in Sioux City, the son of Ralph E. and Marie A. (Liess) Teager. He graduated from high school and attended one year of college. He married Marjorie E. Lindstrom on Nov. 19, 1949, in Wausa, Neb. The couple farmed in South Sioux City. Paul was a marine mechanic for Krogh Coast to Coast and retired from I.P.S. Mid American in 1989.

He was a member of First Lutheran Church, N.R.A. and I.B.E.W. Paul was an avid sportsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. He loved working with oak and dark walnut and made cabinets, gun cases, games for his grandchildren and end tables, just to name a few of his projects. He taught his family well.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; three sons, Larry P. of South Sioux City, Patrick and his wife Patricia of Jackson, Neb., and Robert L. and his wife Carla of Blair, Neb.; a daughter, Jeri Lynn Book of Sioux City; grandchildren, Eric, Bryce, Seth, Levi, Michael, Bradley and Paul E. Teager, Ryan Book and his favorite granddaughter, Leslie Book; and seven great-grandchildren.

His parents and an infant sister, Catherine preceded him in death.

Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
