SIOUX CITY - Gloria Ellen Eggimann formerly of Sioux City passed away following a brief illness Sunday, July 12, 2009, at her residence in Tucson, Ariz.

Memorial services will be 4 p.m. Saturday at Christ United Methodist Church in Tucson.

Gloria was born to George and Gladys (Gibbon) Peterson in Genoa, Neb., on June 6, 1928. She was united in marriage to Paul Eggimann on April 14, 1954, in Chicago, Ill.

She is survived by four sons, Bradley Eggimann (fiancee, Iona Lee), Tod (Suzanne) Eggimann, Matthew (Tami) Eggimann and Miles (Kathleen) Eggimann; a daughter, Terri Eggimann; nine grandchildren, Emily (Eric) Andersen, Jesse Eggimann, Jayden, Landon and Savannah Eggimann, Tod Eggimann, Julia, Claire and Lily Eggimann; seven step-grandchildren, Julie Delphous, Carmen Williams, Rachel Delphous, Laura Leon, Jessica Maines, Jennifer Beach and Jarrettt Beach; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, June McCarthy of Louisville, Ky., and Barb (Don) Huser of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Eggimann; her parents; and a brother, George Peterson Jr
