Henrietta E. Clifton

Henrietta E. Clifton, 93, formerly of Sioux City, died Friday, March 31, 1989, in a nursing home in Akron, Iowa.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City with the Rev. Laurice Streyffeler, pastor of Wesley United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Mrs. Clifton, the former Henrietta E. Kroonemeyer, was born Jan. 15, 1896, in Milwaukee, Wis. She married Guy H. Clifton Dec. 29, 1916, in Sioux City. He died June 2, 1969, in Sioux City. She had lived in Sioux City since 1911 and moved to Akron three years ago.

Mrs. Clifton was a longtime member of Wesley United Methodist Church and Trimble United Methodist Church.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Duane and Bernice Clifton of Westfield, Iowa, Bruce and Ruth Clifton of Orlando, Fla., and Jack and Rosemary Clifton of Vista, Calif.; a sister, Naomi Jenks of Fond Du Lac, Wis.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
