SIOUX CITY -- Andrea Christine Daniels, 58, of Hay Springs, Neb., formerly of Sioux City, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, April 5, 2009, at a Chadron, Neb., hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Central Baptist Church in Sioux City. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff. Services were also held April 8 at First Baptist Church in Chadron.

Born March 7, 1951, Andrea was the ultimate people person. No matter what she did over the course of her life, it always seemed to be in the presence of others, often times many others.

From her involvement in school plays and speech tournaments in high school, to managing a day-care center, to working as a national salesperson for Stockmen's, to managing a Casey's, she was always in the midst of a crowd.

She graduated from Lawton-Bronson High School in 1969 and attended the National Business Training College and Morningside College. She moved to Nebraska in 2005, so that she could better cope with her medical conditions. She continued her people-person ways in both Hay Springs and Chadron.

She loved a medium rib-eye steak cooked over charcoal. She was a dog lover, a NASCAR fan, a great cook and a good friend to many.

She is survived by her sister, Judy; a brother, Bradley and his wife, Susan and their child, Lauren Christine and her husband, Rob Clause and daughter, Alyvia; her brother Ronald's wife, Lois; Ronald's children, Cathy and her husband, Chet Hartung and their children, Matt and his wife, Sean, Stephanie, Todd and his wife, Donna and their sons, Robbie and his family and Marshall.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert; her mother, Loretta; her older brother, Ronald; and her faithful four-legged friend, Sadie.

Memorials may be sent to First Baptist Church in care of Child Evangelism, Campus Crusade for Christ or Operation Christmas Child.
