SIOUX CITY -- Gloria (Olson) Sill, 67, of Brownton, Minn., formerly of Sioux City, passed away Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, following a brief battle with cancer.

Services were held March 2 at Grace Lutheran Church in Brownton. Memorial services and burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery, Sioux City, at a later date.

Gloria was born May 8, 1941, in Sioux City, to Melvin and Shirley (Armbright) Olson. She was baptized, confirmed and married at St. John's Lutheran Church in Sioux City. She graduated from Central High School in 1959. She furthered her education at The Lutheran Bible Institute of Minneapolis for two years.

She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Penn Township, McLeod County, Minn. She volunteered with the hospice program in Hutchinson, Minn., and surrounding areas.

She is survived by her daughters, Irene Williams, Janell Sill and Lisa Dittell, all of Minnesota; grandchildren, Abygail, Alexandra and Joshua Williams of Minnesota; an aunt, Charlotte Richards of South Sioux City; an uncle, Leland Armbright of South Sioux City; her former husbands, Sanford Sill of Decorah, Iowa, and Maynard Rannow of Minnesota; and many cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; maternal grandparents, Arthur and Verna Armbright; paternal grandparents, Ole and Jennie Olson; and an aunt, Lois (Armbright) Jones.
