SIOUX CITY -- Judith Kay "Judy" (Krommenhoek) Tott, 65, of Olathe, Kan., formerly of Sioux City, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2009, at her daughter's home in Olathe after a prolonged illness.

Per Judy's request, cremation has taken place, and private family services were held.

Judy was born Feb. 19, 1944, in Sioux City, the daughter of Nick and Ethel (Johnson) Krommenhoek. She was married to Jim Tott to whom three children were born, Theresa, Stephen and Stacy. Judy lived in Sioux City, Golden, Colo., and then moved to Olathe to be near her family. She had been employed by Olathe Medical Center.

Family was very important to Judy as well as her loyal companions, Boaz, Zeke and Tempest, her cats and Bentley, Libby Lou, Lucy Lou and Coco, her dogs. She enjoyed reading, especially murder mysteries, crafts and decorating her home.

Judy is survived by her children, Theresa Hughes of Olathe, Kan., Stephen Tott of Olathe, and Stacy Tott of Brandon, S.D.; nine grandchildren, Travis, Trumaine, Tyler, Tiffany, Heather, Nicole, Holly, Tanner and Tyson; eight great-grandchildren, Brianna, Jaden, Damen, Kiara, Elena, Tryvon, Zaydin and Zharaya; her mother, Ethel Krommenhoek of Sioux City; three brothers, Dick Krommenhoek and his wife, Maryann, of Sioux City, Darrell Krommenhoek of Sioux City and Tom Krommenhoek and his wife, Gloria, of Springdale, Ark.; a sister, Janet Ream of Sioux City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Nick Krommenhoek; an infant brother, Gary Allen Krommenhoek; a sister-in-law, Arlene Krommenhoek; a nephew, Tommy Dean Krommenhoek II; and a niece, Courtney Ann Krommenhoek.

She will be missed.
