5 March 2009SIOUX CITY -- David Louis Kahler, 57, of Sioux City, formerly of Lincoln, Neb., passed away Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009, in Sioux City.
Services were held in Lincoln. Condolences may be sent to Marsha McPherson, 6750 E. Military Ave., Fremont, NE. 68025.
David was employed with Burlington Northern Railroad. He also was an Eagle Scout.
Survivors include his children, Belledawna Husk of Sioux City, Marsha and her husband, Wade McPherson of Fremont, Neb., Axton Kahler and his wife, Jacee of Omaha and Danielle and her husband, Ray Simons of Dwight, Neb.; 11 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; his first wife and friend, Rebecca Wilderman of Sioux City mother of Belledawna and Marsha; and sisters, Janet and her husband, Thomas Kapke of Henderson, Nev., Margaret Kahler of Lincoln, Victoria and her husband, Ervin Woodard of Lincoln and Cynthia Malene of Neenah, Wis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Isabelle Margaret Kahler and Victor David Kahler; and an infant brother, Wayne Allan Kahler.
