SIOUX CITY -- Robert R. Adams, 69, formerly of Sioux City passed away Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, at Maple Crest Care Center in Omaha.

Memorial services were held at Maple Crest Care Center. Additional services will be announced at a later date. His wish was to continue to help others by donating his body to science research at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Robert graduated from the University of South Dakota, where he received both his bachelor's and master's degrees in educational administration. He served his country in the military from 1957 to 1960.

Survivors include his children, Kimberly and her husband, Tim Feathers, of Overland Park, Kan., and Steve and his wife, Kelly, of Omaha; and grandchildren, Austin, Olivia, Taylor and Brayden.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert V. and Lillian O.

Memorials may be directed to Maple Crest Care Center in Omaha.
