NORFOLK, Neb. (Buried Sioux City)-- Warren J. Bleckwehl, 60, of Norfolk, Neb. died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009, at his home.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Norfolk Baptist Church in Norfolk. Inurnment will be at a later date in Sioux City. Arrangements are under the direction of Home for Funerals in Norfolk.

Warren was born April 10, 1948, in Pender, Neb., the son of Henry and Elvera Bleckwehl. He was raised in Waterbury, Neb., and graduated from Emerson-Hubbard High School. He continued his education at Iowa Western Tech, where he studied drafting.

On July 20, 1974, Warren married Kim Larsen. He worked as a draftsman for several companies in Ida Grove, Iowa, Sioux City, and in Northeast Nebraska. He retired due to health reasons.

Warren is survived by his two sons, Wiley Bleckwehl of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Tyler and his wife, Hope of Waukee, Iowa; two sisters and their spouses, Janet and Ron Holle of Littleton, Colo., and Diane and Ron Ehlers of Sioux City; two nephews, Travis Ehlers of Sioux City, and Eric Ehlers and his wife, Haley of Jefferson, S.D.; a niece, Nichole Pinkelman and her husband, Jeremiah of Maskell, Neb.; and seven grandnieces and grandnephews.

He was preceded by his parents.
