SIOUX CITY -- Richard R. Lake, 40 of Sioux Falls, S.D., formerly of Sioux City, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009, at Sanford Medical Center from injuries suffered an a motorcycle accident.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Heartland Community Church in Sioux Falls. Burial will be in Hills of Rest Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Miller Funeral Home, 13th and Main Street, Sioux Falls. Condolences may be sent online to www.millerfh.com.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Tina; his children, Kyle, Kody and Kasandra Lake, all at home; his parents, Robert Lake and Lana (Rex) Fischer, all of Sioux City; his mother-in-law, Shirley Cummings of Sioux Falls; two sisters, Jenny and Bobbi Lake of Riverside Calif.; his grandmothers, Barbara Junck of Sioux City and Marion Lake of Las Vegas, Nev.; a nephew, Deshaun Highler; a niece, Shalea Lake; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, William Lake and Ralph Junck.
