17 February 2009SIOUX CITY -- Della Kluckman, 81, of Sioux City passed away Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, at Westwood Nursing and Rehab Center.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Matthew Miller officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.
Della was born Jan. 24, 1928, in Adrian, Minn., to Hagen and Mary (Wilkens) Herding.
She was married to Melvin R. Kluckman on April 15, 1945, in Rushmore, Minn. He preceded her in death on Oct. 31, 1996, in Sioux City.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by six children, Frank (Susan) Kluckman of Sioux City, Mary Lundeen of Sioux City, Larry (Peggy) Kluckman of Houston, Texas, Marge (Lloyd) Bierman of Corpus Christi, Texas, Paul Barsh of California, and Rose (Les) Zimmerman of Sioux City; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Viola Eingels and Gladys Jorgensen, both of Watertown, S.D.; and a brother, Benny Herding of Sioux Falls, S.D.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; eight brothers and sisters; and a grandson, David Lundeen.
