SIOUX CITY, -- Hubert M. Treadway, 73, of Sioux City, formerly of South Sioux City and California, passed away Monday, Feb. 2, 2009, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kevin Roach of Riverhills Church officiating. Burial will be in Omaha Valley Cemetery, Homer, Neb. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Hubert was born Nov. 26, 1935, in South Sioux City, the son of Hubert H. and Emma (Trickey) Treadway. He moved to California and married Rose Leite in 1962. He later received his general education diploma. He was employed in construction as a sheet metal worker.

Survivors include six sons, Jim, Bob and Gregg Treadway, all of California, Andrew and David Treadway of Sioux City and Daniel Treadway of Omaha; three daughters, Michelle Lauer of Colorado, Lauri Thurston of Idaho, and Donna Cloudas of Sioux City; two stepchildren, Jim Leite and Lani Bulik, both of California; two brothers, Ben of Ames, Iowa, and Ed of South Sioux City; two sisters, Leona Marshall and Dolores Beckenbach, both of California; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose, in 1981 in California; his parents; a son, Mike; and a brother, Earl.

Pallbearers will be David, Andrew, Randy, Jamie and Ed Treadway, Trey Gulbronson and Jim Cloudas.
