Wife Of Druggist at Bronson Dies; Funeral Friday

Bronson, Ia.-- Special: Funeral services for Mrs. Frank Oertel, 70, wife of a longtime Bronson druggist, who died Wednesday at her home, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Presbyterian church here.

Rev. J. Boyd Stevenson of Ireton, will officiate and burial will be in Graceland Park cemetery in Sioux City. The W. Harry Christy funeral home at Morningside has charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers including four grandsons, will be Dean Hurd, John Hurd, Frank Oertel, Richard Oertel, Walter Haafke and Loren Jones.

Mrs. Oertel was born November 5, 1877, at Newell, Ia. She was married to Mr. Oertel January 18, 1895, at Sioux City. They moved to Bronson in 1902. He has been engaged in the drug business here since.

She was a member of the Bronson Presbyterian church and the church women's organization.

Survivors include the widower; two sons, Lloyd G., of Los Angeles, and Henry F., of Bronson; two daughters, Mrs. Harry Hurd of Merrill, Ia., and Mrs Carl Hurd of Bronson; a sister, Mrs. Hattie Wigersma of St. Joseph, Mo.; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
