Delores Conley, 71, former long time resident of Anthon passed away in a Sioux City hospital on December 30, 2002.

Services were held Friday, January 3, 2003 at the church of Christ in Anthon. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Anthon. Mahaney Funeral Home of Fonda was in charge of arrangements.

Delores Conley was born October 12, 1931 in Moville to Ernest and Emma (Jahn) Haring. She graduated from Climbing Hill High School in 1949. On January 3, 1954 she married Don Conley in Anthon. They lived in the Anthon-Correctionville area for many years and in Anthon as well. In 1985 they moved to Iowa City, Iowa where they worked for the Ronald McDonald House. They were the first house parents at the McDonald House there. They were also foster parents for 16 children.

She is survived by her husband Don of Fonda; two daughters Becky and husband James Fenceroy of Sioux City and Melanie and husband Mark Foster of Fonda and one son Mike and wife Patricia Conley of Sioux City, her mother Emma Haring of Sioux City; nine grandchildren, Jeremy, Christopher and Jerodiah Conley, Josian, Joshua and Zachariah Fenceroy, Nathaniel and Natasha Foster and Taylor Conley; two great-grandchildren; two step grandchildren and a sister Donna and her husband Richard Ostrihonsky of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her father, a son Lyndon in 1984 and a daughter, Lori Conley in 1987.
