Edward Jones, 59, 1120 S. Alice Street, died this morning in a hospital here following an illness of a year. He had resided in Sioux City for 30 years.

He was employed by the Lutheran Brotherhood Life Insurance Company. Mr. Jones was a member of Morningside Lutheran Church. He was born in Clarinda, Iowa, October 17, 1883.

Surviving are the widow, Laura; a daughter, Mrs. Clifford Schultz of Sioux City; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Watkins and a brother, Albert Jones, both of Beloit, Kansas.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the residence and at 2:30 p.m. in Morningside Lutheran Church. Rev. E. T. Boe will officiate. Interment will be in Graceland Park Cemetery.
