Love Rejected; Kills Self

Sioux City, March 30-Because Eva Haakinson refused to receive his attention, Ed Anderson, aged 32 years, wrote an affectionate letter to her and then ended his life by taking laudanum. “I love you and can’t live without you,” he wrote. “If I should die take all my stuff. I don’t want you to lose anything.” The police found his lifeless body near Floyd Monument.
