20 November 1999Sergeant Bluff—Calvin R. Denton, 75, of Mankato, Minnesota, formerly of Sergeant Bluff, died Friday, November 19, 1999 at Immanuel-St. Joseph’s Hospital in Mankato.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Mankato. Burial will be in Minneopa Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Mankato Mortuary. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.
Survivors include his wife, Shyrl; a daughter, Nancy Compton of St. Louis Park, Minnesota; two sons, Greg Denton of Sergeant Bluff and Terry Denton of Sioux City; his mother, a sister and three stepsons, all of Mankato, a brother of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota; three grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
