Youth Accidentally Killed.
Will McDonald, son of James McDonald, the president of the Rodney Savings bank of Smithland, was accidentally shot and killed while enjoying an outing with companions. McDonald, with five other boys, was walking on the Illinois Central tracks, each of the boys carrying a gun. They were throwing bits of coal and bottles into the air and shooting at them. McDonald found a bottle, and calling to one of his friends, threw it high. The friend raised his gun to shoot, but it exploded while pointing directing at McDonald. The bullet entered his left side and he died almost instantly. W. M. McDonald, cashier of the bank, was accidentally shot about a year ago, but not fatally,
