SOUTH SIOUX CITY -- Anna M. Elsey, 76, of South Sioux City passed away Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 3 p.m. Friday at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kevin Roach officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.

Anna Marie Kruse was born Dec. 1, 1931, in Jackson, Neb., the daughter of Edward R. and Josephine M. (Gill) Kruse.

She married LeRoy Elsey in South Sioux City. The couple lived in South Sioux City until 1981, when they moved to Texas. She returned to South Sioux City in March 2008.

Survivors include two sons, Dennis and his wife, Kathy of Fremont, Neb., and Reginald of South Sioux City; three brothers, Charlie and Leonard of South Sioux City and Joe of Burbank, S.D.; a sister, Mary McGinty of South Sioux City; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy on Aug. 20, 2004 in Sanger, Texas; a son, Roger Dale Elsey; three brothers, Ed, Jack and Bill Kruse; and a sister, Helene Torticill.
