SIOUX CITY -- Norita Margaret Madden, 35, of Waterloo, Iowa, formerly of Sioux City, died Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, at Coventry Hospital in Waterloo.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Audubon, Iowa, with the Rev. Wayne Gubbels officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be noon until service time Saturday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon.

Norita Margaret Madden was born Sept. 9, 1973, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Vernon and Karen (Young) Wieseler. She was baptized at Cathedral of the Epiphany and confirmed at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sioux City. She was adopted by Linda Madden. Her mother, Karen died in 1983 and her father, Vernon in 1985. She attended Sioux City schools, graduating from West High School with the class of 1991. She then attended the community college in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She lived in the Sioux City area for several years and spent the past few years in Waterloo.

She enjoyed traveling with her family and listening to music. She had Myotonic Dystrophy.

Survivors include her mother, Linda Madden of Sioux City; her special friend, Mike Rundell of Waterloo, Mary Madden of Sioux City and Ellen Madden of Iowa City; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents, Ed and Lily (Beck) Young, Anton and Laurel (Kathol) Wieseler and Clarence and Alice (Baker) Madden.

Memorials may be directed to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
