31 May 2008Mildred L. "Millie" Reeves, 68, of Sioux City passed away Thursday, May 29, 2008, at a Sioux City hospital following a long battle with cancer.
Services will be 7 p.m. Sunday at Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff, with the Rev. Martha Anderson officiating. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Millie was born Oct. 7, 1939, in Sioux City, the daughter of Leonard and Helen (Walling) Reeves. She attended school at McKinley Elementary School and Woodrow Wilson Junior High School until the age of 16, when her health began to fail. She was most recently a resident of Westwood Nursing and Rehab Center.
When she was able, she loved to go shopping.
She is survived by her sisters, Lela Ward of Phelen, Calif., Delores and her husband, Cecil Risner of Sioux City and Reta and her husband, Charles Milbrodt of Akron, Iowa; two brothers, Lloyd Reeves and his wife, Monica of Sioux City and LeRoy Reeves of Sloan, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Leona Shook; and two brothers, Raymond and Arnold Reeves.
