MCCOOK LAKE -- Jimmy D. Warren, 47, of McCook Lake died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2008, in Sioux City due to an automobile accident.

Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Monday at Larkin Northside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home, 2320 Outer Drive North in Sioux City, with the Rev. Merrill G. Muller, pastor of Wesley United Methodist Church, officiating. Jimmy was cremated. Visitation with the family present will be one hour prior to the services Monday at the funeral home.

Jimmy was born Dec. 31, 1960, in Delta, Colo., to Ray Dean and Lois Bailey. He and his family moved to the Siouxland area when he was approximately 9 years old. In 1979, he graduated from Jefferson High School in Jefferson, S.D. He married Cheryl Beck in 1988 at McCook Lake. For the last 13 years, he was employed as a heavy equipment operator for D.A. Davis Construction Co.

Jimmy enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved his children.

Survivors include three children, Jake Warren, Jacee Warren and Dustin Beck; his mother, Lois L. Bailey; his father and stepmother, Ray Dean and Yolanda Warren; his ex-wife, Cheryl Warren; his sister and her husband, Deana and Paul Carnes; seven stepbrothers and stepsisters, Keith and Sue Bailey, Gary and Deb Bailey, Linda and Ron Wurgley, Brian and Peg Bailey, Scott Bailey, Lori Ann Warren and Tammy Warren; two nieces, Stephanie Hopkins and Amy Verschoor; special friends, Doug, Coleen, Adam and Missy Harsma; aunts; an uncle; and other relatives in Delta, Colo.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Ken Bailey; and a stepson, Brandon Beck.
