SIOUX CITY -- Claudette C. Jacobson, 73, of Sioux City passed away Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, at her residence.

Services will be 7 p.m. today at Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff. Per her wishes, after the service today, the body will be cremated. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Claudette was born Feb. 25, 1935, in Sioux City, the daughter of Ludie and Eva (Davis) Johnson. She attended school in Sioux City.

On Sept. 29, 1951, she was united in marriage to James E. Jacobson in Sioux City. After her husband's passing on Nov. 24, 1990, she worked for nine years at MCI until her retirement in 2001.

She loved to play cards with Aunt Barbara and Uncle Paul and Johnny. She also enjoyed bingo.

She is survived by two sons, Tracy James Jacobson and Rick Stuart Jacobson, both of Sioux City; a daughter, Debra Ranae Hardgraves of Sioux City; four grandchildren, Joseph Jacobson, Larrisa Murphy, Terrence Hardgraves and his girlfriend, Majessa Crilly, and Travis Hardgraves; two great-grandchildren, Tyrell and Jaycee Hardgraves; her special grandchildren, Chance, Jennifer, Jasmine and Allie; and a very special niece, Nicole Gil and her children, Trevon, Cuco and Sierra.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.
