KINGSLEY, Iowa -- Monica L. Tejeda, 15, of Kingsley died unexpectedly Monday, May 19, 2008, at a Sioux City hospital.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. today at Kingsley High School, with the Rev. Ken Kraft of new Life Baptist Church in Kingsley officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Rohde Funeral Home in Kingsley.

Monica was born Jan. 12, 1993, in Ventura, Calif., where she lived as a young child. Her family moved to Kingsley in 1999. She attended school at Kingsley-Pierson School, where she had completed her freshman year of high school.

She is survived by her mother, Rosalie Rodriguez; two sisters, Marilyn and Gloria; and three brothers, Manuel, Robert and George.
