7 October 2008SIOUX CITY -- Janice Coleman, 72, of Marietta, Ga., formerly of Sioux City, died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008, following a lengthy struggle with cancer.
Services were held Sept. 27 in Marietta.
Jan was born Sept. 25, 1935, in Sioux City, the daughter of Isabelle and Edward Dietschy. She was raised in the Riverside area. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and graduated from Heelan High School in 1953.
She married Charles F. Coleman at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in 1957. Together they lived a military life, living on several military bases until finally settling in Marietta.
She loved to read and was accomplished at the piano and organ.
She is survived by her husband; three children, David, Susan and Danny; and her younger brother, Richard Dietschy of Whiting, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and an older brother, Eugene.
