SIOUX CITY -- Judy K. Harlow, 67, of Castana, Iowa, formerly of Sioux City, passed away Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, surrounded by her loving family at Maple Heights in Mapleton, Iowa.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City, with the Rev. R. Paul Johnston officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6:30 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Judy was born June 8, 1941, in Worthington, Minn., to Henry and Kate (Fink) Dirks. She grew up in the Worthington and Reading, Minn., area. She attended grade school in Reading and graduated from high school in Worthington.

She married LeRoy Harlow on Nov. 4, 1959 in Worthington. After their marriage, the couple moved to Sioux City. She worked at First National Bank, then at Don Meis, DDS. She later worked at Mercy Medical Center until she retired. The couple moved to Castana in 1991.

She enjoyed watching Little League baseball, where she ran the concession stand at Westside Little League games for several years. The couple also enjoyed taking all the grandkids to the Little League World Series, it was their special time with them. She also liked camping, fishing and just spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, LeRoy of Castana; daughter, Deb Behrens and her special friend, Doug Tobin of Sioux City; a son, Todd Harlow and his wife, Tammy of Sioux City; five grandchildren, Mark Behrens Jr., Melissalee Matheny, Dustin Behrens, Cody Harlow and Hunter Harlow; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Alfred Dirks of Litchfield, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Lawrence; a nephew, Paul; in-laws, George and Jesse Harlow; and stepfather-in-law, Frank Just.
