Marjorie I. Waggoner, 93, of Sioux Falls, S.D., formerly of Sioux City, died peacefully Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005, at Avera Prince of Peace Retirement Home in Sioux Falls.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church in Sioux Falls. Burial will be in Hills of Rest Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at George Boom Funeral Home in Sioux Falls.

Marjorie Isabelle Waggoner, daughter of James W. and Alice (Sumner) Conover, was born Nov. 26, 1912, in Sioux City. She graduated from Sioux City East High School in 1930 and then entered business college. She served as a dental assistant for 12 years.

She was united in marriage with Robert "Earl" Waggoner on March 4, 1938, in Sioux City. While in Sioux City, she was active in Order of the Eastern Star, Rainbow and Morningside Presbyterian Church. The couple moved to Sioux Falls in 1955, where she was active in Girl Scouts, PTA and East Side Presbyterian Church. In 1965, she and Earl moved to Zionsville, Ind., until their retirement, and then returned to Sioux Falls in 1975.

Marjorie enjoyed fishing and traveling with Earl and her family. She was active in the women's associations and circle at First Presbyterian Church in Sioux Falls and did volunteer work as a seamstress at the Good Samaritan Center.

Grateful for having shared her life are her daughters, Barbara Outcelt of Woodbury, Minn., and Mary (Dave) Kuper of Sioux Falls; three grandchildren, Jeff Kuper of Somerset, N.J., Phil Kuper of Rochester, Minn., and David Outcelt of Woodbury; a sister, Lorraine Wallman of Sioux City; a brother-in-law, Dalyos Padgett of Sioux Falls; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; her parents; three brothers, Melvin, Edwin and Raymond Conover; parents-in-law, Henry and Grace Waggoner; and a son-in-law, Dave Outcelt.
