Donald E. Seibold, 56, of Sioux City died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, at his residence following a lengthy illness.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Valerie Heller of Rustin Avenue United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.

Donald Eugene Seibold was born Feb. 18, 1948, in Sioux City, to George J. and Myrna Nadine (Kenney) Seibold.

A Sioux City resident all of his life, he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was an expert marksman and received the National Defense Service Medal.

He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed watching NASCAR races and football on television.

He is survived by three sisters, Jean (Paul) Fuller, Rose Barnes and Sharon Saul, all of Sioux City; four brothers, Arden Seibold, Ron (Joyce) Seibold, Robert Seibold and David (Sandy) Seibold, all of Sioux City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Barbara Seibold.

Pallbearers will be Chris Christiansen, James Holcomb, DeWayne Fuller, Scott Fuller, Jody Barnes and Jimmy Barnes.
