Geraldine M. Schaub, 74, of Sioux City died Monday, Jan. 10, 2005, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Larkin Northside Funeral Home, with the Rev. Alex T. Washington officiating. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 to 9 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Geraldine was born May 3, 1930, in Manhattan, Kan. She was raised in Manhattan and moved to Sioux City as a young woman.

She married Earl Schaub on Feb. 12, 1961, in Elk Point, S.D.

She was a former member of Assembly of God Church. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed crocheting. She was known for her good cooking.

She is survived by her husband, Earl of Sioux City; six sons and three daughters, Louis Calvillo Jr. of Sioux City, Sandra and Ralph Verrone of Norfolk, Neb., Mark Calvillo of Hope Haven, Rock Valley, Iowa, Joseph and Evelyn Calvillo of Sioux City, Ruth and Patrick Phipps of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Tony Calvillo of Phoenix, Ariz., Thomas D. and Terri Calvillo of Sioux City, Gloria and Larry Caskey of Sioux City, and Phil and Mary Calvillo of Phoenix; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Darrell and Audrey Swain of Florida; and three sisters, Micky Fasting of Bloomington, Ill., Arletta Mattulat of Florida, and Neva Graham of Marina del Rey, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Beatrice Swain; a grandson, Craig Verrone; a daughter-in-law, Johni Calvillo; and a sister, Neoma Christiansen.

Pallbearers will be Dan Knight, Tim Knight, Mike Knight, Jim Knight Jr., Jeremy Barrett, Nicholas Calvillo and Justin Young.
