Lois M. (Murray) Wright, 89, of Sioux City died Easter Sunday, March 27, 2005, at a Sioux City nursing home following a brief illness.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Tom Jacobs officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.

Lois M. Taylor was born Aug. 25, 1915, in Anthon, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Minnie (Carlson) Taylor. She graduated from Anthon High School.

She married William Murray. He died April 20, 1991. She married Richard M. Wright on Dec. 10, 1993.

She lived her adult life in Sioux City and worked for many years as a nurse at St. Luke's and St. Joseph's hospitals.

She was a member of Morningside Assembly of God Church and the Siouxland Senior Center. She loved to dance and play cards.

Survivors include her husband, Richard M. Wright of Sioux City; four sons and their wives, William C. and Mary Murray of Salt Lake City, Utah, Roger F. and Joan Murray of Lincoln, Neb., Russell J. and Pamela Murray of Holts Summit, Mo., and Richard M. and Karen Murray of Sioux City; four step-children and their spouses, Richard A. and Holly Wright of Sioux City, Cheryl and Dan Skuya of Manchester, Tenn., Derald and Audrey Wright of Wichita, Kan., and Cindy and Jamie Phillips of Spirit Lake, Iowa; two brothers, John Franklin Taylor of Kent, Wash., and Richard Norman Taylor of Sioux City; a sister, Jean Danderand of Columbus, Ohio; 12 grandchildren, Linda Oliver, Kathy Murray, William Murray, Michael Murray, Dana Murray, Karen Murray, Charlotte McDonough, Brenda Fife, Richard Murray, David Murray, Aaron J. Murray and Sara Murray; 14 step-grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Murray; her parents; a granddaughter, Diane Murray; and a great-grandson, Colin James Murray.
