Marian L. (Pogue) Leach, 91, formerly of Sioux City died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005, at a Texas City, Texas, nursing home.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City, with the Rev. Martin Young of First Christian Church officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at Larkin Morningside Funeral Home in Sioux City.

Marian was born June 2, 1913, in Grand Rapids, Mich., the daughter of Ben and Della Pogue. She was raised in Grand Rapids. She moved to Sioux City and graduated from Central High School in 1937.

She worked at Bishop's Cafeteria from 1937 to 1944. She then worked as a bookkeeper and office manager for Wells' Blue Bunny Ice Cream Co. until she retired in 1972.

She married Alvin Leach in January 1955. He died Dec. 22, 1995, in Texas.

She was an active member of First Baptist Church and later at First Christian Church. She most recently attended First Baptist Church in Sandia, Texas. She was also active in the Rebekah Lodge 557.

She is survived by two stepchildren, Robert Leach of Dickinson, Texas, and Carolyn Vander Zwaag of Lake Elsinore, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents in 1966; and her husband.
