David Leon Red Owl Sr., 27, of Sioux City died Saturday, April 26, 1997, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul’s Indian Mission, with the Rev. F. David Titus officiating. Burial will be in Holy Faith Cemetery at Santee, Nebraska. Visitation began at 4 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul’s Indian Mission.

There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. today at the church. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Red Owl was born February 9, 1970 in Sioux City, the son of Wilson Freemont and Lydia Sharron Red Owl. He was employed with DCS at IBP for a few years.

Survivors include a son, David Leon Jr. of Sioux City, a daughter, Tanisha Ada McBride of Wagner, South Dakota, his maternal grandmother, Ada Red Owl of Sioux City, a brother, Richard Allen of Sioux City; two sisters, Sonija Renee Red Owl and Angie Marie Red Owl both of Sioux City, an aunt, five uncles and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be Gary Starr, Ambrose, Dennis, Ronald, Robert and Gary Red Owl.
