Roger G. “Ta Ta” Arrow, 68, of Sioux City died Thursday, November 27, 1997 at Indian Hills Care Center following a long illness.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Anderson-Perasso Funeral Home, with the Rev. F. David Titus of St. Paul’s Indian Mission, officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Arrow was born, August 30, 1929, in Philip, South Dakota, the son of Guy and Beulah (George) Arrow. He was a resident of Sioux City since 1960.

He married Joan Torrez on November 17, 1965 in Elk Point, South Dakota.

He was employed for many years as a furniture mover for Bekins, United and Hatch Furniture.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Indian Mission and served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, two sons, Roger Arrow Jr. of Sioux City and Martin and his wife, Verla of Minneapolis, Minnesota; four daughters and their husbands, Roberta and Rudolfo DeLaCruz of Sioux City, Lisa and Ignacio Gutierrez of Kansas City, Missouri, Martina and Antonio Lopez and Deborah and Amondo Luevano all of Grand Island, Nebraska, 10 grandchildren and two sisters, Ann Marie and Darlene Arrow, both of Sioux City.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lloyd.

Pallbearers will be Rudolfo DeLaCruz, Ignacio Gutierrez, Antonio Lopez, Amondo Luevano, John Torrez, Jesse Gomez, Roger Arrow Jr. and Martin DeCora.
