Mrs. Ann Madden, Mother of 11, Passes Away

Mrs. Ann Madden, widow of the late Patrick Madden and a resident of this country for the last 44 years, died today at the residence of her son, Thomas M. Madden, 1924 George Street of old age, age 83 years.

Eleven children survive. The sons are A. P. Madden and Thomas M. Madden of Sioux City; John F. Madden, D. E. Madden and James Madden of Hornick, Iowa; W. J. Madden of Onawa, Iowa and P. M. Madden of McMinnville, Oregon. The daughters are Miss Cassie and Miss Elizabeth Madden of Sioux City, Mrs. Jane Dunn of Sioux City and Mrs. P. C. Connelly of Spokane, Washington.

The funeral arrangements will be announced later. Burial will be ii Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Mrs. Madden came to Woodbury County in 1868. During the first 12 years of her residence here she lived on a farm five miles north of Sioux City. For the remainder of the time she resided at Hornick until a year ago, when she came to Sioux City to make her home with her son.

Madden – The funeral services of Mrs. A. M. Madden will be held at 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
