Dies On His Birthday
Albert A. Garritt Was A Widely Known Stationary Engineer

Albert A. Garritt, 52 years old, widely known stationary engineer, died on his 52nd birthday at his home, 117 South Prescott Avenue, Saturday afternoon.

Mr. Garritt had lived in Sioux City twenty years, coming here from New York City, where he was born on February 28, 1868. At the time of his death he was engineer for the Purity Serum company. Formerly he had been employed at the Security National Bank and the Arctic Ice Cream Company.

He was a member of the stationary engineer’s union.

The funeral will be held at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at the residence.

He is survived by a widow; one son, Wilbur Garritt of Sioux City and one daughter, Mrs. Charles Weeks of Abilene, Texas.
