O’Connor – In Sioux City, Iowa – June 15, 1901, Mrs. Cornelius J. O’Connor of Homer, Nebraska, aged 41 years, at St. Joseph’s hospital, following an operation performed Wednesday.

The funeral was held at Homer this morning. Interment was in Homer Cemetery.

Mrs. O’Connor had been unwell for months and came to Sioux City Tuesday for an operation. Thursday, and even Saturday morning she was thought to be recovering rapidly, but Saturday afternoon there was a sudden change in her condition and the relatives were hastily summoned. Mrs. O’Connor died at about 5 o’clock. Her relatives by marriage at Homer, including Mrs. T. J. O’Connor, formerly Miss Mary Dillon of this city and her relatives at Yankton, South Dakota and in Pennsylvania were notifies at once. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Green and family of this city were among those to whom the deceased woman was dearest. A wide circle of friends here and at Homer mourn.

Cornelius J. O’Connor, the bereaved husband, is the trader at the Winnebago Indian agency and the manager and largest stockholder of the Homer State Bank. There are four children, viz., Cornelius Jr. age 20; Harold, age 17; Arthur aged 15; Kathleen aged 12.
