The funeral for John Schmidt, 86, 3612 Garretson Avenue, who died Monday at a hospital will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Ivan Winter Chapel. Rev. John C. Buthman of Grace Methodist Church will officiate, and burial will be in the Melbourne Cemetery, east of Hinton, Iowa.
