Shirley Ann Dollerschell, 69, of Sioux City, passed away peacefully on Oct. 5, 2018, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Private burial will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery. Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel is assisting the family. Online condolences may be made to www.meyerbroschapels.com.
Shirley was born on Nov. 15, 1948 in Sioux City, to Ferdinand and Dorothy (Cobb) Dollerschell. She attended Irving Elementary and graduated from Central High School. Following graduation, she worked as an elevator operator in the Insurance Exchange Building for four years. Shirley was then employed at Mercy Medical Center for 26 years.
She enjoyed bingo, cards, feeding the squirrels and her pets, Snickers and Snowball.
Left to cherish her memory are a brother, Ronald and his wife, Lynne of Sioux City; a sister, Peggy and her husband, Rich of Leander, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Memorials may be directed to the Siouxland Humane Society or Hospice of Siouxland.
