Elaine E. Anderson, 89, of Sioux City, passed peacefully at Sunrise Retirement Community on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes.
Elaine was born in Pierson, Iowa, to Emmett (Brownie) and Elsie Walters. She graduated from Central High School in January 1947.
She married Ronald C. Anderson in September 1947. Ron and Elaine have two adult children, Mollie Zimmerman of Lafayette, Colo., and Todd Anderson of Pikeville, N.C. Elaine worked for the Sioux City Journal in advertising and retired with 20 years of service in 1985.
Elaine is survived by her brother, James Walters of Oto, Iowa; and her children
