Charlotte M. Card, 91, of Sioux City, passed away Friday, Sept. 7, 2018, at a local nursing home.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Riverside United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Liz Tucker officiating. Private family burial will be in Elk Point Cemetery, Elk Point, S.D. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Charlotte was born on June 19, 1927, in Sioux City, to Charles and Ella (Johnson) Dietschy. She graduated from Central High School.

Charlotte was united in marriage to Albert Card on May 14, 1948 in Sioux City at Riverside Methodist Church. He preceded her in death in January 1974. Charlotte worked at Aalfs Manufacturing and as a cook at Jefferson High School for many years. After retirement, she took part in many nursing home activities. In her younger years, she enjoyed sewing for her kids and grandkids. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.

Those left to honor her memory include her children, Keith (Pam) Card of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Diane Peters of Sioux City, and Dennis (Sue) Card of St. George, S.C.; sister, Julie (Ed) Miller of Sioux City; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Norman; grandson, Bradley Peters; three sisters; and one brother.
