Helen Waneta Creek Fey, 1913-2000

Anthon, Iowa – Helen Waneta Fey, 87, of Anthon died Wednesday, July 26, 2000, at Correctionville Nursing and Rehab Center in Correctionville, Iowa.

Services will be 10 a.m. today at Barker Funeral Home in Correctionville, with the Rev. Paul Evans officiating. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery.

Mrs. Fey was born Feb. 17, 1913, in Anthon, the daughter of Charles and Lenore Oda (Admire) Creek. She graduated from Correctionville High School in 1931.

She married Henry Ardell Fey April 15, 1936, in rural Correctionville. She taught school for a period of time and then later was a rural mail carier for 10 years. Following their retirement, the couple raced thoroughbred horses.

She was a former member of Chuck Wagon Association.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Gary and Barb of Littleton, Colo., and Terry and Vickie of Sergeant Bluff; six grandchildren; and brother, Robert Creek.

She was precede in death by her husband; an infant son, Larry Ardell; two brothers, Charles Jr. and Ralph Creek; and a sister, Pauline Deeds

Pallbearers will be Christopher and Clinton Fey, Jerry Dixon and Dan, Randy and Milo Deeds.
