Bronson Man Found Dead
Elmer Heath, 63, was found dead at about noon last Thursday, December 2, 1954, in an apartment building that he was constructing at Sergeant Bluff.

The county coroner was unable to determine immediately if death was caused by a heart attack or accidently suffocation from the fumes of a gas stove in the room where Mr. Heath was found. The contractor was a heart patient. Saturday

The body was discovered by one of the workers on the construction job.

Funeral services were held at a Sioux City funeral home on Saturday. Rev. Walter E. Smith of Lyons, Nebr., officiated. Mrs. A. Glover sang. Burial was in Graceland Park cemetery. Pallbearers were Carl and Harry Hurd, Jay Stevenson, James Kifer, Stanley Marshall and Wayne Molstad.

Mr. Heath was born in Rock Branch, December 22, 1890, but had resided in Bronson the greater part of his life. He was married to Marguerite Clift at Holly Springs, January 10, 1931. A veteran of world war 1, he was a member of Tyrian lodge, A.F. &A.M. in Sioux City and Sioux City consistory 5.

The survivors include the widow, Marguerite; two daughters, Mrs. Glenn Ellis of Sioux City and Marguerite, a student at the Roosevelt college of music in Chicago, as well as two granddaughters.

Contractor Found Dead

Elmer Heath, 63, Bronson building contractor, was found dead at about noon Thursday in an apartment building he was constructing at Sergeant Bluff.

County Coroner Thomas L. Coriden said he planned an autopsy this morning to determine if death was caused by a heart attack or by accidental suffocation from the fumes of a gas stove in the room where Mr. Heath was found. The contractor was a heart patient and had heart pills in his hand when found, indicating he may have suffered an attack.

The body was discovered by one of the workers on the construction job.

Mr. Heath had been a resident of Bronson since childhood. He was born December 22, 1890, at Rock Branch. He married Marguerite Clift at Holly Springs, January 10, 1931. A veteran of world war 1, he was a member of Tyrian lodge, A.F. &A.M., in Sioux City and Sioux City consistory 5.

Survivors include the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Glenn Ellis of Sioux City and Miss Margaret Heath, a student of music in Chicago, and two granddaughters.
